I am an interdisciplinary artist, performer, and sculptor. I stage performances and build sculptural installations that reflect on personal and politically charged experiences of immigration, labor, gender identity. My works also highlight the connection between marginalized bodies and the destruction of the natural environment. Through personal storytelling and play with sculptural objects and materials, I reclaim marginalized immigrant body experience and perform actions of resistance, vulnerability, endurance, and adaptation.
In my practice, I question stereotypes and explore how the dominant language could be upturned and questioned. I introduce to my work practices of healing, spiritualist tools for communication, folk knowledge about elements and natural environment, and interweave personal experience absorbed from my various backgrounds.
